Si MC/Booster or ITR MC/Booster
I have a dilema.
I just did 5 lug swap on my 00 hatch. I'm still using the stock Mc/Booster and Prop valve.
I know tht the best (probably the only) Prop valve that I can use will be from an Si.
Now, the hard question...I need a new MC/Booster combo.
I can get a 00 Si MC/Booster for next to nothing, but it's only 15/16"...I can spend $100 and get an ITR unit which is 1".
Will 1/16" make that much of a difference? Or should I stick with the ITR unit?

well, right now it sucks ***.
One of the brake lines came loose, so, until I can find a friend to help me bleed it, I've been ebraking it to and from work

I would go with the SI one cheaper and you dont have ABS like the ITR so why do you need the bigger line

i have gsr conversion front and rear on my 92 hatch . wit...15/16 m/c and booster..plus a 40/40 proportional valve (40/40 Prop..valve.are or disk front and rear)..and it work good.......40/30 is for disk.and drum.......my setup work great....plus with the 15/16 it jus bolt on my civic wit no fabrication on that one...line...on the 1" m/c.........but if u race ur car alot maybe bigger is better......haha....? my 3 cents..
What are you doing? Change your name back to "The Avenger" and have your fun with that name and not mine.

My advice to you Craig, is to do the job right in the first place. Get the Si prop valve & 1" mc/brake booster. So you wont have any reservation in your mind on whether or not everything is working properly or what not.
I used the above components on a 6th gen Civic without the need to rebend any lines. It fits like warm apple pie...oh wait...that sounded wrong. You know what I mean.

not true...Ex's are still drums in the rear
I also have the ITR M/C and booster upgrade, It requires less pedal travel for equal braking power.

When I looked into it, the only thing different was the Master Cylinder assy.
here are some part #'s DIRECT from Honda!!!!!!!!!!!
1997 3dr CX
Master cylinder 46100-S04-A02
Power booster 46400-S04-N11
Porp valve 46210-S04-902
2000 2DR SI
Master cylinder 46100-S04-A12
Power booster 46400-S04-N11
Porp valve 46210-S04-902
The Master Cylinder is a little larger to hold and move more fluid on the SI because the rear disk take more fluid then the drums. THAT IS ALL! I took a lot of time and effort to find out all this info so I hope this helps people who are doing the swap.
Back to the question, with a Five lug swap I would do the ITR MC and Power Booster. It's a simple bolt in and worth the extra $100. The larger calipers will take more fluid and the SI MC and booster may not be able to move enough fluid. I did the ITR MC and booster using SI brakes and it made a good difference.

Isn't the swapping over the entire brake booster a bitch? I heard you have to remove the dash of the car.
I'm doing GSR front and rear brakes this weekend in my 92 Hatch, and I was planning on using a 99-00 Si 15/16th's master cylinder, and a 99-00 Si 40/40 prop valve. I wasn't planning on changing the booster...Do I have to? Are my MC and prop valve choices suitable. Im also gonna be running SS brake lines, aem pads, and powerstop rotors.
