1991 Accord heat doesn't work! plz help
Hey guys..
When this car was purchased it a couple months ago it had 317 000 km on it. It now maybe has 4000 more km.
Anyways, when it was purschased, the owner was upfront and mentioned that SOMETIMES, very rarely, the heat would stop working but then you just hit hte underside of the dash, and it would come back on. And this was true. It stopped working very rarily (once every 2 weeks maybe of daily driving) and when it stopped you just either hit the dash, or go over a pothole, and it would just come back on.
But now, it won't come on, even if you hit it hard or go over potholes
. The heater DOES heat, you can feel it REALLY slightly, moreso on the highway as there is more air going in etc... but even if you put the fan on max nothing changes.
I know nothing about accords so... is this a common problem? Anyone else here have this issue? Is it hard to fix? I was going to pull it apart ot check for a loose connection or osmething but I want some advice on what it could be. THanks!

Its most likly the blower motor. If the resistor was blown the fan would still work on high. Go under the dash and pull out the fan. Order a new fan, and a resistor too.
