Default b18a block w/ hydro tranny

I just bought a b18a longblock out of a 91 LS with plans of building the block for turbo and using it to replace my b18b block. My bggest concern right now, and something i shouldve confirmed before buying the b18a, is whether or not i can use my stock hydro tranny (car is a 1995 LS btw) w/o having to buy any additional hardware.

i know that the b18b head will bolt right up and there are minimal changes between the 2 blocks in the electrical , one sensor in a different place i believe, so that shouldnt be too big a hassle. But if i have to buy anything to make the tranny work i might as well just wait for a cheap b18b block to show up.

So i guess what im looking for is a solid answer on whether or not i can use my tranny w/o too much hassle. Also if anyone has any helpful tips or advice about this engine setup id love to hear it. Thanks a ton.

thanks for any and all help.

Awesome, thanks for the help everybody.

Goals are a fun, streetable, daily driver turbo LS that will hopefully see some track time every once in awhile. Would like to see something in the 300hp area.

Appreciate the offer Madness, will definetly hit ya up when and if i have another question.
