Default Gauge cluster question

I have a 88 std civic sedan, when I got it it didnt run and was missing lots of pieces. I replaced the tachless cluster with one from a 90 Lx with a tach, everything works fine except the fuel level gauge. Does anyone know if the cluster pinouts are different between the 88 and 90. If so does anyone know which wires would need to be swithed to make it work. TIA

They probably are different.... Fuel Gauge Signal wire is Yellow/White (off top of my head). Just follow the fuel trace out from the screw on the back of the cluster to it's end at where the connector would be. Now compare that to where the wire is at on the connector currently. You may find it to be in the wrong place, maybe even on the wrong connector. I know that there were a few wires that swapped sides of the cluster between my 89 HF and the 91 HF cluster I had put in the old CRX.
