Default IAB question (searched...but get even more confused everytime I read a thread lol)

Ok, I just had my manifold and tb bored out by Maxbore, I installed a hondata gasket, and blocked off my egr. While cleaning the im and iab's I stripped out most of the threads on the butterfly plates. My question is will I lose a noticable amount of power low end if I remove the butterfly's, shaft, and then just weld the holes shut? will i gain it back up top? Its basically a stock H22A1 with a p13, its also a daily driver

remove all together
or
re-tap the threads

with out the butter flies in the plate you will probably lose I think its 3-5 hp before 4800rpm.

You probably will not even notice it. Especially on the butt dyno.

I would retap the threads and keep it stock. But thats just a preference.

Plus it might run a bit rich before 4800rpm.

with no tuning, yes. You will lose power down low.

i say removing them would be the way too go, but just remove the whole plate, making ur overall volume less
