Default d16z6 in 92-95cx?

just two quick questions...what are approximate 1/4 times of a 92-95 cx hatch with a stock d16z6 sohc vtec motor? thanks...did some research...this combo has a better power to weight ratio than the si coupes??? how do you calculate power to weight ratios and how does it apply to racing? thanks a lot!

my best so far was a 16.1, but i also run a CX tranny. my act 6 puck ripped up the Si tranny. you should run a 15.8 w/ an Si tranny.

did that swap 2 weeks ago. got a deal on the sohc vtec, anyway i only ran 1/8 mile so far
10.6- shifter fell through floor after hitting second, coasted through lights riding
clutch tryin to find shifter through floor. crazy but true, bushings were torn.

10.05- after 45 mins i got the shifter rigged back up to make another pass.
eased off the line at 1500rpm (wheel hop already caused on prob)

im guessin ill run 9.8 in the 1/8 this week replacing the bushings
as for quarter mile i dont really know. To give a little guess my friend has a gsr in a dx hatch and runs 14.6 quarter-9.5 1/8th ets.im guessin low 15's

I went 9.8 on crappy 400 wear street tires. This was in the middle of Summer. It was a fun little car.

I have a '94 si with a rigged cold air intake and my best time was a 16.229 @87.4 mph with a 2.4 60ft. i was wondering what was your mph at your 15.8??? I really want to hit a high 15 in my car before i swap it, i just want to get a idea if its even possible, i'm sure it is.

When I had my old 1992 Si and the only mods on it were an AEM CAI and a ghetto short-shifter, my best 1/4 mile time was:

15.6!!!

This was full interior (car weighed 2259lbs.) that day and I was on Michilen MXV4 185/60/14 highway tires!

So if I could run a 15.6 in the Si hatch that weighs about 220lbs. more than a CX and I was on super-shitty tires for drag, then I would expect 15.2 or so out of a good-running D16Z6-CX combo.

...And those motors have been known to handle some healthy boost too
