the love of my life is getting painted
I hope I don't get flamed, but I had to tell everyone. I've owned my prelude for 6 years almost, and I've always been telling everyone "yeah I'm painting it soon". Well, I've been saying that for years, and I can FINALLY say, that I am getting it painted on MONDAY! ahh, I'm so excited, I can't wait! My prelude has been so many different colors, from past and present kits, and once we did the swap, and turbo stuff, the car itself has developed more dings, hits, dents, etc. The job is about $2K, and I have enough now. IM SO EXCITED !!! AHHH

I just got an estimate on how much it would cost to get my lude repainted milano red and it was in the $2grand range. Damn 3-stage jobs

well, I went to a honda dealership the other day to get some "honda colors", plus my friend bought a new civic, but I really liked the 2007 S2000 blue, so I got that color, but I want darker, maybe a tone or two darker than that color I picked out.

for most preludes, a GOOD paint job, I have found to be around $2,000 but I have a lot of body work as well, so that's why mine is kinda high.

surprisingly, I did go to maaco, just out of curiosity (I would never get my car painted there), but they estimated MORE than what ACE body & paint estimated me for my car.

What about the blue on the RSX's. Looks a little darker. Maybe they are the same color but different light. I dunno.
I think what it is... is the pearls in the paint. When light hits the car it brightens up a lot. When there is not a lot of light, I think its significantly darker. My theory...
