Non vtec to vtec swap info: 2nd gen teg motor to B16A1 info needed
i know there is a bunch of websites out there but one time i found a good place full of info on here. i was wondering if some of you would post some good websites about the swap i am doing which is a 2nd gen integra with a non vtec engine swapped out for a B16A1 DOHC vtec. i would like to know what problems i will run into doing this swap. thanks!
why not just do an ls/vtec, so u have the tq of the 1.8, or a b18c. sorry i coundnt help u on the site, but i just dont like b16's
yeah man, i agree. Go with the ls/vtec. But if you really want the b16 then http:\\hybrid.honda-perf.org can help you
well there is too much complicated crap to make that ls/vtec. i heard you have to drill an oil something or other in the block and so on. that is way out of my range of knowledge. i am a fan of B16's because i have one and when the vtec kicks in it is so damn loud and i ran a 15.0 at the track in my 95 acura integra 4-door. plus my friend is doing this swap in his 2nd gen integra.

A tremendous lack of torque
Since you have a 2nd Gen Integra you must knowabout G2IC.com right? If so just go to the teg tips sections and there is a whole writeup on how to swap a VTEC engine into a G2 Integra. Covers everything you need to know....
