When I press on my brake pedal my brake lights will come on AND my reverse lights. So I figured there was a short. I looked under the dash and then under the driver side carpet and found one of my wires has melted. This is weird because shouldnt it have blown a fuse before it melted the wires? Anyways my question is. We are going to fish a new reverse power wire from the back to the harness.

Is the power wire for the reverse lights the same colour right through?
