check engine light on a 98 ek

Default check engine light on a 98 ek

so im posting this up for my brother in law he gets check engine and i looked at his engine bay and i found this cut wire next to a sensor plug any one know what it does what its for????



there some what cheap picks but hopefully someone can help me out thanks

help us help you. typing a 98 ek doesn't really help.
it's a 98 civic, but what model?, manual or auto?

and worse case scenerio, being that it's a obd2 set up, you can go to any parts store and they will hook up the diagnostic computer to it for free and read the ecu code.

Check out the code by reading the top of this forum and looking in the Check engine light thread and check the code yourself. Go from there.

Exactly that wont cause a code, and that plug thats chilling there connects to it. Pull the code and see what it says.
