H23A swap to H22A - NO FUEL!!!
Hey guys I just recently swapped out my H23A motor in my 95 Prelude with a JDM H22A. Used the H23A’s fuel rail and external ignition coil/distributor, now when I go to crank up the car, its not getting any fuel. I even had someone crank the car while I took off the bleeder valve on the fuel rail and it was dry as a bone. I went through the car and I only have 1 sensor that is disconnected (the sensor is dangling near the external ignition coil). I am thinking it is a spare sensor on the H23A since my H22A does not have a sensor for the top radiator hose housing. Anyway anyone have any suggestions?
i just did the same swap and i swapped the upper radiator hose housings since my h23 one had the sensor and my h22 one didnt. not sure about the fuel prob.
There is a ground wire that bolts to the head on the distributor side. I did the same thing, swapped the motor out, forgot to bolt that wire up. Cranked the motor, fuel pump didn't turn on. Found the wire and bolted it to the head, cranked the motor again and it started right up.
Quick question...
Your talking about this one right? (see pic)

I'm swapping at the moment and my H23 has a sensor on it and the H22 doesn't, so I've got a connector which can't be plugged (I'm using my H23 wiring harness).
So this is what your talking about to leave it off?
And should I leave it off (can it hurt)? Or is it wise to get it from my H23 OBD1?
Thx

Check the ground to the head. Make sure the CEL comes on then goes off. You should be able to hear the fuel pump. Check the ECU wiring and main relay if there is still no fuel.
