It was a crazy day....car started to get warm...noticed hose had backed off where it connects by the thermostat housing....fine....replaced hose and a few other hoses while i was at it. That did fine for an hour then all of a sudden driving down H1 and i hear SPSHSHSPSSSSSS my heater core exploded right while i was driving....pulled over took out the trusty set of pliers and flathead screwdriver and bypassed the heater all together... What fun a day can bring in an ED.....I love my crx

will it hurt me, cooling wise, to bypass my heater like i did?? It is running really cool now all the time??

 

It will be fine, just wont have any heat in the car. not a big deal.

 

it does help with cooling down the engine abit to stop from overheated

well i dont 'need' heat in Hawaii at all anyways, thanks for the repies

 

i have the heater core removed in my car. so no, bypassing it is no problem
