96 EK with stock ITR motor, stock clutch, 14" steelies, stock struts with mismatched coils, launching at 4000/4500. I would always spin at the line and could not get any traction at all.

launch higher, but be very careful on the throttle, you dont have to go wide open right out the line, feather it a little till your grabbing traction.
also try taking the tire pressure down a little, it does help

reaction time won't help his times....unless he's bracket racing then he should as well. but i'd just focus on 60 ft times like others are saying.
like everyone said, feather the clutch and dont' dump it.

Thanks, I will try all these things next time at the track. As to the reaction time, doesn't it depend on the track what a perfect time is: .000 or .500? I assume you would dump the clutch if you are running slicks for the instantaneous traction they provide?

gotta be a single cam with those times.
EDIT: type R swap!? dude, get some tires and work on that launch.
your times equal to about 15.7-16.9 in the 1/4
