I just swapped a b20/vtec into my 94 eg with a p28chipped. Now when i start it up it cuts on revs hella high and shuts down. Im stumped. Im going to check the plugs on the intake manifold to double check that they are in the right location. any more ideas to why it would do this? Im throwning a code, but its for vtec.

 

its probably the ecu restting let it do its thing


it goes from 800-1500 repeadtley over and over then it finds idle, then if any ot woll throw a cel

 

no when i cut the car on, it revs high for like 1 second, and then cuts off

 

bump for some help....car will cut on with a looping idle sometimes. Most of the time it will start up and cut off immediately. Im going to blow this hatch up

 

i just tested the TPS sensor and Map sensor and they are good.

you have a vacuum leak. this happen to me once when i forgot to plug in the hose to the pcv valve. double check all hoses going to the I/M. look for cracks, tears, etc.

 

im going to check that rightnow.
