Default tired of my bumpy *** ride...help me!

im only bringing this up now because i think i blew out one of my shocks....i hear a thud sound every once in awhile when i go up a slight elevation or get the car going in first gear. I'm assuming the thud is a blown shock....the roads around here are awful in some spots.

I'm currently on KYB AGX's and some H&R springs....basically I know there is a compromise for being low, I'd like to maintain my ride height...or atleast adjust it to some extent and but still remain a decent ride quality/comfort.

Any suggestions? any way to tell if my shock is blown and the thud isnt something else?

What suggestions are you looking for? A different setup, or just what settings to adjust those KYB's?

maybe i guess a setting for the kyb's would be guess since there still on the car right now, but as well as suggestions for a new suspension like coilovers, im honestly looking for the best of both worlds, comfort and ride height.

yo the suspension you have know is a good setup even tho its a little stiff.... i have the same but i got eibach springs but its not that low... im guessing your ride height is perfect cuz that combination gives the perfect ride height but not necessarily comfortable

to get a better ride your gonna have to change the springs to tein s.tech... but its not gonna be as low... i like the drop of the s. tech tho

if i were you i would keep that setup cuz you never get a perfect ride when your that low.. if it was me i would just adjust the kybs to the softest setting... mine are in the middle right now

Unless you're buying TEIN...stay far away from Coilovers on a civic bro. The ride sucks. H&R is a good spring..i would just change out those shocks. I was never a big fan of KYB shocks.

IMO, its either Koni Yellows or Tokico Illumina's..both are 5-way adjustables, and ride great!

Some other good springs are Eibach Sports or Suspension Techniques...what i had, and it rode very nicely.

by the way do you have any pics of the drop?... cuz that things gotta be lovely.. i was thinking of getting those springs but i got the eibach sportlines instead... hahah you probably got the setting all the way on stiff.

speaking from experience coilovers do suck compared 2 springs unless they are full... this man obviously never had kyb's before cuz they are the ****.. trust me i highly doubt your shocks are blown cuz it takes hella time for kyb's to even leak

Good god almighty, the advice floating around here is suspect. Go to the suspension forum for some more technical advice, you will find a plethora of information on how you can improve your ride quality and performance.

your rite the yellows are better than the kyb's but for the price i would go with the kyb's cuz the yellows are a lot more expensive for a ride that isnt 100% better... u know? just my .02
