Any stuttering on acceleration. My Auto shop teacher told me that if you turn the lights off, pop the hood, and mist some water over the wires while revving the motor you can see unwanted sparks. Which tells you that you need new wires.

Never heard of that, but my rule of thumb for DD swaps is change when first drop in, change every time you feel a misfire.

why not just pick up some plugs and wires? for 40bucks you have brand new ****, and you won't have to be worrying about whether they're going bad or not

Yes sir, I have. The key word is mist. Mist the water...not spray, mist.

I changed my plugs and wires at 90,000 I think. I would just change them if you're not sure just for peace of mind.
