Default Need help finishing compustar alarm install

I just started installing my compustar alarm in my 99 gsr, i was wondering how to hook up the trunk pop because of the funky latch setup, also i have a general idea of how to hook up the keyless entry into the doors, lastly and general tips or hints would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you have power door locks, then you just need negative lock outputs to the lock and unlock wires. Some alarms only have weak mA negative outputs so you may have to use relays to strengthen the output.

For the trunk pop, you should use a universal door lock actuator. It works really good on Hondas/Acuras. The trunk pop solenoids they sell are overkill and take up a ton of space. You will probably want to use some kind of steel cable and a clamp with the door lock actuator. Just try to find a spot to mount it near the latch, you may have to trim some sheet metal and mount it with a backstrap. Ground one wire, and you'll have to send power to the other wire from a relay. Which is ground and which is power depends on whichever orientation makes it pull.

The relays will be wired the same for both the doorlocks and the trunk pop. Your alarm's negative output (whether it's the aux output or the door lock output) goes to 85, loop 86 to 30, and connect 30 to a constant, fused 12V. Connect 87 to the wire going to the actuator/door lock wire. You'll need a seperate relay for the lock, unlock, and trunk pop.

you don't have a trunk pop on your hatch unless you added one. the alarm can't pop your hatch unless you already have an actuator

I don't know about the trunck release, but I just did my 98 gsr last week. Finding the right wires was confusing but this helped a lot, it lists all the needed wires, where to find them and the colors:

Once I installed the alarm with keyless entry I cut the unlock wire to the power switches on the doors to slow down anyone trying to get in with a coat hanger. Not a big deal but hopefully it makes the theives waste more time. When they stole my car they just took a crowbar to the top of the door and pried it open, then probably hit the power unlock.
