ok my car has went through its old main relay and a new one in just a couple of months...but also as this one went out i now have a solid check engine light. is the ecu made to read if the main relay goes out? obd1 p28 ecu chipped. is it dead?

any info is welcome

yes it is made to read anything wrong with your car... install the other relay and disconnect the battery for ten seconds...when you have the ignition key in on position... if that doesnt work... plugs back your battery.. and disconnect your ecu fuse under the hood.. for ten seconds.. that should reset the ecu and the check engine light will go off if everything was fixed.... if its still turns on then check to see what code it is throwing?

 

ok when the main relay quits clicking i have a solid CEL but the damn relay wont stop clicking
