i put it in second gear then started goiing up a fairly steep hill and the rpm dropped so i pushed in the clutch and gave it gas then it completely died. then it started right back up without a problem. my rpm has been low when idling also. any advise on what it could be is appreciated.

how low is rpm at idle?

 

i put a ex cluster in dx so i dont no how acurate it is but sometimes its down around 400 when its warm ather times its 800 which isnt too bad bad. ive heard bellow 500 the car stall out, so i dont no if its just the cluster

 

i idle at 800 to 1k but ya i think it will stall below 5 but check on your throttle cable on your intake manny move it down a bit n see if you can get it to idle higher... i dont know about the stalling in second tho... thats a new one
