you take all the gears off with the crank pulley you got to take out the crank key. then just unbolt it and put the new one on.

ive done it with the motor in the car, its kindof a pita...the innermost gear on the crank should just pull right off, try prying it. there are like 6 10mm bolts holding the pump, also the water pump has to come off i think.

i had the alternator out (its easy) and i took out my whole AC system. leave the P/S pump attached, just unbolt it and move it out of the way. cruise control's gotta go and so does that motor mount.

$450 isnt a bad price though...but id say do it yourself if you think you can

To change the oil pump you do not need to pull the ps, alternator, but you do need to pull the oilpan off, so that you can unbolt the oil pickup. It is a pretty tedious job.

im sure youll be aight then...and yeah you gotta drop the oil pan, which means you drop the downpipe too...also pay attention to the bolts you take out, i think i remember there being a few different lengths

thanks everybody got this done in one day...took a while though cause the timing belt kept jumping teeth when i put it back together so i had to put it back a few teeth on the belt to compensate, it was just tedious getting it all back together to see it had jumped it and taking the cover off just to mess with the tensioner
