Proper "test-pipe" length for '89 CRX Dx w/ JDM OBD 0 header and OEM length Cat-back???
I could not find my answer through searching so maybe you guys can help. The problem is when I bought my '90 Si two years ago it already had a B16 in it w/ a hacked up exhaust from the shitty test pipe back. The header from what I can see most likely came w/ the OBD 0 B16 swap when originally purchased for the Rex cause it has a "jasma" label on it and I think that's a JDM based approval stamp or something but it does appear to be intended to fit a stock JDM CRX w/ a B16 in it.
With that said I have stripped that entire car and the motor is going in my '89 DX soon, it will be temporary since I am building a B20 to go in after so I don't want to buy a nice test pipe now (will need 2.5 inlet for B20). the test pipe that was on the 90 REX made my GReddy exhaust rub the bumper cause it was being pulled towards the front of the car so I know I need a longer test pipe. I would like to just take the pipe I have now and have midas lengthen it for me but I just need to know what length it needs to be????? Somebody has got to know the answer to this one

I used it with an obd0 tanabe jdm header and an invidia cat-back. </TD></TR></TABLE>
sounds like that may be what I need.

well you completly missed the part about me NOT WANTING TO SPEND MONEY on a new one yet, I need to modify the one I have until I get my JDM header w/ 2.5 collector. THEN I will buy a nice one, but not until then

Looks like ~15 3/4" from flange to flange
Hope that helps

Cool, thanks. I measured mine at 15 1/4 so I am suprised it's only a 1/2 inch difference? I was assuming it would be about 1 to 1 1/2 inches. this helps either way so thanks again
