fuel filter...dumb question
if u put the two lines on wrong will u get a higher fuel pressure than what should be...like if u put the line coming from the fire wall on the fuel filter where its suppose to go to the fuel rail....and vise versa with the other one...will this cause a problem....
If you could somehow manage to do that, it still wouldn't raise your fuel pressure enough to worry about. Maybe a couple of psi. You'd just have unfiltered fuel, which isn't a good idea. The regulator controls the pressure in the rail, and it's bolted to the rail with a return line coming out of it. But I don't understand how you could put the lines on wrong in that manner, considering the feed line to the filter won't reach the rail...? Maybe I'm not understanding you right...
I would actually guess the pressure would be slightly lower, although hardly noticeable. The problem with connecting the lines wrong is that the fuel is passing through the filter in the wrong direction, and is therefore not as efficient and may allow crap past the filter that could hurt the engine.
well thats gay..haha...damnit i cant figure out why i have such high pressure,..its like reading 60 or some ****...but wont rev past 4500 at full throttle..
as far as lines being backwards...like the filter has the two holes..if u put the on from the fire wall on the whole thats suppose to go to the motor...and vise versa...i dont think mine is wrong but i was seeing if it could cause a high fuel pressure...
