Head Lights + rust question
hey guys im new here just bought a 2000 prelude a few weeks ago , but was wondering why are my head lights look all fogged out and not as claer as it suppose to be ?? is thier anything i can do to make it look more clear beside buying new head lights. also is it commom for a 2000 prelude to rust at teh top of windshiled area under that rubber peice and under rear quater pannel thanks in advance
You can try the stuff at Advance Auto that's supposed to clear up headlights. If that doesn't work, wetsanding will. As for the rust, I know that rear quarter panel is very common, never heard of windshield rust
i wet sanded my headlights with 1500 and then 2000 grit sandpaper, then used mcguires plastic-x scratch remover. looks good as new, but you have to re-apply the plastic-x every couple weeks or whenever you wash your car.
the rust in the top of the windshield is not on every lude, but at the same time seeing as you are from canada like me, it is not uncommon, my old 98 lude had it but my current 2000 doesnt, but the rear quarters are terrible on all hondas, not only preludes.
wet sand ??? i don't know much about cars.. so is that some kind of specail sanding paper.... and can u explain a lil bit more on how to do it BB6racer ..like how much do u sand it down , and wat u do next and so on thanks
Here you go, this link may help you a little with the head light....
