Default koni/GC spring rates

So i know that this question gets asked often, and i have searched but i've found mixed results.

I'm purchasing a set of koni/gc coilovers and i need to know what would be the best spring rate for my application.

- It's going on a 90 civic sedan, that is used for DD with the occasional roadrace. I will be putting in some track time this summer as well, and i will want the set-up to be able to work for that too. Only planning on putting a 2inch drop on it.

With that said, what rates should i go with?

Tell Ground Control exactly what you just posted here and they should be able to give you exactly what you need. Also, a 2 inch drop isn't insignificant, you may want to think about tophats.

Well i know that a 2 inch drop isn't insignificant, but i don't plan on slamming it.

I was thinking about getting the tophats, but wasnt sure if i would even need them for my setup.

2" isn't slammed, but it is low. I always err on the side of caution but depending on the roads in your area you may be fine w/o tophats.
