Bakeing wheels after u paint them?
has anyone heard of this? i know u bake wheels in the proccess of powder coating, but could u put wheels in your oven to make the paint look nicer?
i ask this question cuz i am now currently in the proccess of repainting my hx's & i am having trouble getting the paint off........ i'm also using aircraft remover..... & it just so happenes that the week i am doing this it is like 30* out..... could i put them in the over to heat them up so the aircraft stripper will work better

had same problem with a freinds C 8's. try sanding thru a little bit and then use the air stripper a couple times, and if that doesnt work a sand blaster might. we only used the stripper once and then tried sand blasting it got some but not enough of the old paint/powder coat off
i wouldnt bake the wheels at all its not going to affect the stripper, make sure that there no water resedue on the wheels, that will weaken the stripper

this is done already & i am in the stages of the final caot of paint & then clear...but what i did is take shop lights, 500watts each, & shine them down on the wheels... get them heated up enought for there to be a reaction w/ the stripeer... worked great... thanks everyone for your .02
