90 accord vacuum problem/leak
ok lets see, my idle is all screwed up. I did find the source, the number on the vacuum hose is (21) idk if this means anything. It's coming from the throttle body into a box where the MAP sensor is which is mounted on the firewall in front of the passenger side. When i take the hose off of the Manifold the idle settles but is very low almost about to stall. is my Map sensor bad??
Whats the REAL problem you are having? idle surge? idle rough?
MAP stands for Manifold Absolute Pressure, it's actually measuring the vacum of the intake, so when you pull the hose loose you create a different problem, or computer function.
If you'll post up the problem you are having instead of the 'mousetrap' fix, I'm sure there is enough experience on this website to help you fix the real problem.
