Default B17 with LS crank?

Ok so I have a LS B18B bottom end getting ready to build. I have ROSS 81.5mm pistons and Eagle H beam rods for the LS. Also have a B16 head. (LS/Vtec build of course).

So today I find a good deal (well assume it's a good deal) on a B17 block. No crank, pistons, rods. The block will cost me about $75. To me that would be worth not having to fool with the conversion it's self. My questions is will the B17 block accept a LS crank/rods and B16 head witout any problems?

I know I am probably going to get flamed for not searching, but I am on my phone surfing and I need to know ASAP. Thanks a million guys

No, it won't work. The B17 block has a shorter deck height than the LS.

you need custom rods or pistons to use an ls crank in a b16/17 block

ahhh damn, so much for that. Was just trying to be lazy and get around the conversion. Will end up being cheaper lol
