Default Rims Does it Matter

I have 17's on right now im going to buy some 16's and put some street slicks right now do you think it will give me a better track time due to how much the axels are spining

I don't understand what the axles have anything to do with rims or track time?

I'm guessing by "track time," you're referring to 1/4 mile? Essentially, less weight = faster time, so if you get smaller, lighter rims with stickier tires, you *should* net a faster time. And remember, winning's winning.

What I think he means with the axles is that your speedometer will say your going faster compaired to 17's. Doesn't matter honestly how fast you think your going but how fast you are really going. ut having a lighter wheel tire set up is better for track #'s

yes, smaller wheels/lighter wheels and tires will net faster acceleration within same conditions. do you have 5 lug swap, if not, they offer 14" nitto or toyo drag radials, not as good as bf but definately lots of weight savings..

for baller status i'd throw some d's on it

and top it with 2jz swap with nawwwzz

In all seriousness though, if u have 5 lug conversion, then the smallest rim you can run would be a 15" rim, if regular integra 4 lug setup, then get some 14" rims. Lighter rims are better for racing. Do you plan on using the street slicks on the street or if they just for the track, then I would suggest some full slicks. WHats your setup and how much power are u making? This is very important when it comes to choosing what size of tire you will be running.
