I have tried searching for my answer, but can't find what I am looking for.

Is the above mentioned part supposed to move back and forth while connected? I thought that the bushings were bad on mine, so I ordered new bushings. However, after installing the new ones, I can STILL move the front of the bar back and forth. Is this normal? I just can't see how this could provide any support or reinforcement for the engine at all.

Can someone please explain!

What is a "torque strut bar"? I don't think I've ever heard of this. Do you have any links to the product?

 

The torque strut bar is the support on top of the engine (1986 Accord). It goes from the firewall to the top-right side of the engine.

This is not really a suspension component, so I don't think many here will know about it (I've never seen this). You might want to try the Accord forum for better help/results...
