Default Skunk 2 Camshaft Vs California Emissions

ok heres the thing i wanna more aggressive camshaft....but the catch is i live in cali and i wanna still smog my car...so if i was to purchase a stage 1 cam do i have to opt out for new springs a valves...and retainers...and another ? are type s cams smog legal???? thnx

if there stage 1 camshafts you will be fine with stock head components

no.

AT THE LEAST upgrade the valvesprings with any cam that has a larger lift than what the motor is designed to run.

so i should just wait and upgrade the whole valvetrain??...seems right...
