Default Gas needle off

When my friend did the amber conversion on his RS, he moved the gauge a little to the left, throwing the needle off
and making it seem like your low on gas when your really not. Can i just fill up the tank and try to move the needle
back to the top, or should i just leave it alone?

Thats a floating gauge. Unless he actually removed the needle, it should read correct.
