Well I had a quote by my body/paint guy for my sc300 and it came out, to me, rediculously high. For 6500-7000: block car down to bare metal and expose damage and bondo areas (cracking occuring right now), fix damage, touch up some fiberglass on kit, paint blue pearl white.

This guy does show quality work and nothing else, he did my uncles show 56' chevy that was featured in the Meguires booth at world of wheels. You can't get him to do anything less which is fine by me but i can't dish out that $$. Does this quote sound within reason?

 

i'd understand if you were to dish out money like that on a classic, but come on now, an EG? sell it, find a minty one, save your $7k. if it was something like an eg that meant the world to you, and had sentimental value, then that's cool, but damn, 7k is still a lot.

Dunno about that quote though, ill stick with my $50 paint job lol. Jk i dont have a $50 paintjob but that price seems sort of high. I think when you work with fiberlglass things start getting pricey. just my .02

that is ridicously expensive for a car. Look at my picture, my cousin only charge a grand for this paint job. thats not including paint

oh ok, missed that part, still though, unless it has sentimental value to you, find another one in better condition and save the money.

the car pictured isn't a dime a dozen, like the sc300.

 

If you say this guy does good work and will do a restoration not half assing the metalwork n **** it sounds like a good deal i'd say

 

Thing is I won't get what I paid for the car if I sell it. Nobody will pay what I did for this shitty of paint/body work.
