check out the scarring of my pistons...
OK...so I got to work on the engine today, struggled with the key that holds the oil pump gear on for 30 minutes. that bitch wouldn't come out. got the pistons, crank, all that **** out. Didnt have time to really look at the bearings, crank didnt look like it had any scoring. here are some pics that I took with my phone. You can see the scarring in piston/cylinder number 1...

p5p type S pistons
all four cylinders call for "B" pistons
these are either OS or "A" pistons
Im not sure, I have yet to mic the pistons to see what the actual bore.
A few months ago, I swapped in this h22, i didnt change anything, guy said he did all the work. I just bought it. The engine drank oil like gatorade, had very low compression and knocked on cylinder number one.

In engine speak, that appears to be "Black Death", which occurs when the piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance becomes to tight. There are a number of reasons that this can occur.
Unfortunately, your pictures don't include all four cylinders, piston tops, or a head shot. From what I CAN see, it appears to be from detonation and/or "foreign material" ingested into the #1 and #2 cylinders.

never tuned, never drove it over 100 miles. dont know about miles.

sorry, all I had was my phone to take some pics, I took a pico f the bad one, then one of the ones that didnt have any scarring. I will get better pics today. Maybe you all can help me out then.
