92 Accord LX ignition problem
Hey guys I have a 5spd 1992 Honda Accord LX....When I turn the key to start it, everything is on but the starter doesn't engage. So I have to turn the key in the on position & jump it with a screw driver under the hood. I assumed it was the ignition switch or the main relay, so I bought both of them from a Honda dealer, but I have not yet installed them. Am I on the right track, or is there something else causing this?
would have been a better idea to DIAGNOSE the problem before buying parts.
Did you test the Clutch Pedal saftey switch?
A test light on the starter solenoid connector would tell you if the ignition switch contacts are putting thru power or not.
Main Relay will not cause a 'no crank' problem.

Understood.....I had some of the guys at my job take a look at it and they all pointed at the ignition switch. and for the clutch switch, I actually replaced it with a new one beforehand, and no go. (i work at a chevy dealership btw, thats why i didn't mind buying parts at a dealer's cost ;p)
