What kind of welding is this?
What kind of welding would you have to learn in order to weld on a radiator support? I was thinking of taking one of these classes as an intro to welding:

.. and I wasn't sure which style of welding i would need to learn. I need to replace the radiator support on my dc2 and want to learn how to do it myself. I thought it would be fun to take a class and try to do it myself.

Try women's welding! JK
Seriously, your rad support is probably steel, so I would surmise that you should learn some MIG welding techniques, tho that would depend on which welder you are using.

haha hey, i might be able to meet some hot chicks in that class. cuz you know hotties be gettin in to welding
but yea, so MIG welding would be what I should look in to? what is the difference between TIG and MIG anyway?

you can either mig or tig it, mig welding is way easier to learn cause you pretty much just choose your heat and wire speed and hold a gun while you pull the trigger andwire comes out. Tig, you controlthe heat with a peddle and use your foot. Also holding a torch inone hand while feeding the rod and dipping it with the other hand. Tig looks way better when it comes to laying out beads, but since your just gonna weld on a core support, I would use mig
cool, sounds good, thanks. so is it going to be hard to learn to weld on a radiator support? it doesn't seem like it would be all that hard, especially since i am not concerned with how it will look...

haha word. i guess you never know...
so as far as putting on a radiator support goes... you just drill out the spot welds, pop off the old one, then weld the new one in by welding it at the spot welds?

cool, thanks. another thing, the radiator support i have is used, so it has holes in it where the spot welds were. is that going to be ok?
