****************** WAT DO U THINK OF THIS ??? *******************

I JUST PAINTED THIS...CANT DECIDE TO GO WITH the silver OR THE DIY TYPE R LOOK.... (have to buy some red paint) I bought red but it came out orange so I resprayed it over with this black but it actually came out this silver metalic color....tried to mix the two to make bronze but it came out like a copper....anyway what u guys think? and yes the letters are not gonna be painted (chapstick under the paint as I'm typing this) I

I used the one on the right!

same process as everyone else basicly....

strpip w/ aircraft stripper
tape the holes/ chapstick the letters
prime
paint

EVERYTHING FROM AUTOZONE (12 bones or so)

here is mine, high heat primer, 3 different cans of duplicolor paint, going for a sport bronze feel, it came out great...

sandblast all of the paint off, including the original paint, and rock it bare.

Crinkle looks awesome..

It's not a DOHC valve cover, but here is a crinkle red DIY paintjob

Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeexxxyy!

Though the silver looks good too, if you want to be different. But, who wants to do that? Thats what EVERYBODY's doing.. So in reality, you would'nt really be different at all.

how do you get the old paint off of the valve cover to respray it . do you prime it frist .. anyone got a how to do on it ?

maybe use some aircraft paint stripper and then do a coat or two of primer and then paint. you'll want it to last.
