ok, so i bought this 89 crx si for 800 dollars, i checked all the numbers from the vin's and they all match....but it has the doors with the seatbelts mounted in them instead of the b pillar, and it has two lights on the rear view mirror for seatbelt warnings, like all the 90-91's i've seen....what bothers me is that all 3 owners of the car ( who i tracked down via old titles and phone books) affirmed that the car was never wrecked or modified...i checked the placard on the drivers side door jamb and the car was manufactured in Japan in March of 1989....now correct me if im wrong, but didnt the major changes (i.e. the seatbelts, rearview mirror, etc..) happen in the 90-91 gen?? because i nor any of my fellow honda heads have seen this configuration in an 89, maybe its a screw up car? or maybe im just way under informed.....
