jdm oem itr suspension, rear of car a little high?
after putting in the front struts in the car, i immediately noticed the extra drop from the itr setup up front, however, in the rear, as you can see (even on an incline), is still elevated quite skyward, and the car has a noticeably awkward rake. is this just my imagination? the springs look just like stock itr should look, and the shocks appear the same. tell me what you think. I have been able to autox and go on some spirited drives, and the car handles superbly, but this just seems to stick out in my mind. i can still fit my whole fit in between the tire and the wheel well. my tires are dunlop fm901 205/55r15's. will post up some other detail pics in a few moments.
a glance at the setup of itr lca's, etc, for verification
best shot i could get of the numbering on the shock, obviously does not match the usdm parts numbers...

dont feel bad, my EH3 looks the same way (205/50/16 on stock sussy),. Just get a good set of coilovers and set that thing right, PIC's dont seem to be that bad. Talk to Dave B about them.

i wonder if there is a perch height diference between the usdm and perhaps the 1st and second gen itr's in japan, or perhaps spring length difference. the older itr's are suppose to have longer stroke as compared to the newer ones. or perhaps i have it backwards. im babbling i think. those are the only variables i can think of that would cause a ride height difference.
refer to the pic above of the shock body upclose, thats about all got for ya at the moment, short of removing it from the car
you can see just the trailing end of it. the numbers will not coincide with american parts numbers, im sure because i dont believe they are US units, pretty sure of it at least

I'm about to put JDM OEM ITR suspension on my 2000 DB7 so I'd like to know whats going on as well!
Do you think the rear height just stayed the same or did it actually go up?
Its good to know that it handles better though. I'm looking forward to that!

lol. ya, i did a search for dave b, and quite a few items came up, so ya, thanks for the clarification. and the drive to work/school reminded me that the car handles quite nimbly, and none too awkwardly, it handles properly, even without the itr rear sway.
