Default How to store car for a long time

I am going to be putting the teg in the garage for a long time. What should I do other than take the battery out and put it on jackstands?

I've been storing my EJ1 outside for almost 2 years now. It's been through 2 winters and a lot of rain. I keep it under a car cover and start it about every week. It still runs like it did the last day I drove it.

I had my EF hatch in the garage 3 years. I would wash it every 6 months, and start it every 3. Looks as good as the day I put her in there. I sold her 2 weekends ago.
Time for B20V in my 4 dr

Thank you all so much! I am going to get to it now

The only thing that concerns me is what was said in that link Padawan. It says do not put your vehicle on jackstands because the suspension will get 'stuck' or damaged somehow. I just sold the wheels so I guess it'll have to do for now.

Yes, there often seems to be some debate over whether to keep the car on the tires (with higher inflation pressure), or to put it on stands. There are compelling arguments for both, but I think you should be fine either way.

Um yes Dan, the wheels are shipping out tomorrow! I am driving my girls car for now And no, I don't want to trade I have been reading a lot of stuff about NASA and SCCA, eventually, I will start building it for a specific class. I am so relieved I don't have to drive my car anymore.

Right on, the gas thing has me a little wary too. I didn't realize how low I was, but I will probably fill a 5 gallon can and get the gas stabilizer this weekend.

Yes, the tank should be as full as possible before storing.
