I was wondaering how long my motor would last turboes. I am running an ls vtec with 160,000 miles on the bottom(b18b1) and 40,000 miles on the top(b18c1). I purchased a kitfor a good price even thought i was in the proces of building another turbo block. It might take a little while longer to finish the block so I was thinking abot installing the kit on what I have now. So my question is with a good conservative tune on about 5 psi would the motor last a little while if not beat on heavily.

 

Just depends what shape the motor is in before boosting it. There are plenty of 100-150K boosted motors out there. Doing a compression test will help you somewhat realize where you are at, but a good tune will basically keep the motor in one piece.
