d16z6 head i believe. corresponding dizzy. vtec controller for activate vtec. msd make a 3 stage timer deal for $50 which you can use. activates things lights nitro etc based on rpm. you need their rpm "pills" tho. whcih is a screw job in it self.... $20 for 3 i dont remember off hand if you need a external ignition systems for it to work. i dont think you do.

There's a few sites that has this info well written - but I can't remember them right now. Here's a rough outline.

As for heads, you have two options:
D16Z6 head (92-95 Civic EX, Del Sol) The head bolts on to your block, and intake and exhaust manifold just fine, but the distributor lines up horribly!!! You'll prolly want an adjustable fuel reg. and maybe an adjustable cam gear (timing can be an issue w/mini-me swaps) This head will increase your compression ratio by about one point (?)

D16Y8 head (96-00 Civic EX, I think?) This one is better than the Z6 in every way, it's a little more powerful & efficient than the Z6, and your existing distributor lines up perfectly with this head. Other than this, it's pretty much the same as using a Z6, you still have to worry about fuel pressure prob's, and timing issues. This head will increase your compression even more (it will be around 11.4:1 approx) so you'll need to make sure your A6 block is up to the challenge - do a compression test to see how tired your motor is first.

Also, intake manifolds make a difference - while purchasing a new head, you might as well get the same intake manifold as the head you buy. Z6 intake is better than the D16a6, while the Y8 is the best... However, there is a wiring change you have to worry about (MAP sensor i think?)

Vtec activation seems kinda complicated, but there are various ways you can do it. Easiest would be getting a ZDYNE One-wire conversion on your ECU, this is prolly the best way to go, i think. There are a couple other ways as well, but I don't know how to do it.... I'll try to dig up these web sites and post 'em up here for you.

Here's what I got:
http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/z6swap/z6swap.html

Sorry I know there's more out there, but I can't find any more info.

Hope this helps
