How is the installment. Is there any machine work needed? Any thing like that. I will be bringing it to be tuned once they're in.

its has been done, it should perform well, but...you'll probably make more useable power with S2S1's on a 16 with little to no mods. the problem is, nobody will tell you that. so, you are right questioning the size of the cam. they are too big for a stock 16.

Well lets say I used some CTR pistons which should raise compression. I was planning on a type r intake mani and a 70mm throttle body before the installation of these. What am I lookin at for this set up?

i've owned P1's in my old motor (81.25mm 18C1). i don't recommend them in a 16, thats for sure. trust me, you'll get very good reults with S2S1's/CTR cams. yes, you'll make decent peak power with larger cams, but, the overall powerband will suffer. pct's will only raise your c.r. a bit, but, i think its more of a displacement issue than compression. all the itr im and 70mm t/b will do is shift your powerband even higher. do yourself a favour, buy a smaller cam

the ITR im will be fine, just pic the proper cam first. the P30 im (on a 16) will outperform the ITR from 3-8K, after that, the P73 will net more power. with the S2S1's and a few mods, the 16 will peak late, so the ITR im is your best option. beyond, 8200rpm, the P30 will suffer.

Alright cool. Do you think with the right modifications the s1's will make power to 8500? Thats what I'm lookin for. I want to make power higher than my stock rev limit.

That is usually the case with aftermarket/bigger cams, they'll make peak power higher, but why do you want a peaky engine?

The PRO Series cams actually make drastic gains in the midrange to upper RPM's. Though the B16 might be a little small for the PRO1 you may want to consider what future plans are for the motor... you can do things that will help those cams in a B16. I make decisions on what to buy based on what I want my end result to be.

Do you want to buy two cams after everything is said and done? Stage 1's are ok but bang for your buck goes out the window!

That is the fault of the tune, not the cam. Having control of the warmup enrichment really helps.

alot of has to do with how good the tuner can tune a paricular cam. some are harder than others
