Where to buy paint for scratches?
I searched, and didn't quite find what I was looking for.
I got a couple scratches on my R, and when I washed the car today, a big chip of paint came off. (bare metal) I drove to all the places I could think of that sell "fix it" paint, Autozone, Napa, Schucks, Wal-Mart, etc. All of them have the same little "display" of paint, and they all have the same paint codes, and colors etc. Then there is a book that lists your specific car, and the paint code.
Here is the dilemma, Type R's aren't listed at all. Which means, no Phoenix Yellow. I've looked everywhere! I had to do something quick, cause it was supposed to rain today and I feared rust. I bought a generic yellow (the only one they had) and it is no where near the same yellow as the ITR.
So, after all that long story, does anyone know where I could get the actual paint besides a Honda dealership? The dealership isn't out of the question, it's just a bit of a drive (2 hours). Would you think that a place that "mixes" automotive paint could make the color for me? I guess it couldn't get any worse than that horrid yellow that I already sprayed on there. Thanks for the help.

Any paint shop should be able to mix you some touch up paint up but it might be cheaper to buy some touch up paint online.
That is all I need, but the problem is that it's raining at the moment. I had a big chunk of bare metal showing on the roof, and I didn't want it to rust. So I sprayed on some crappy yellow. I want to touch over it now with the right color. I think I may drive to the Honda dealership, do you think that they would carry the color? Or would it have to be an Acura dealership? Unfortunately, where I live, they do not co-exist. Actually, I have no clue where an Acura dealership might be.

thanx a bunch man. I went to the Honda dealership, and they said they can't get it. It's an Acura part. WTF? I was like, why is it in a honda box? The guy just pretty much shrugged me off.

Seriously, maybe it's just me. But, I can't find any use for the "pen" part.
