awesome kill!!! jsut have to share w/ fellow 4th gen hybriders, mods can move if u want...
ok, so i got my engine swap done about two weeks ago. hopefully i'll have some pics up soon, but i've just been to busy driving it to post anything yet.
so last nite my brother and i went cruising on main street in high point, NC. he was in his '98 ITR and me in my '88 civic STD w/ b16 swap. up until last nite, he thought there was no way that i could beat him. so we're at a stop light right before we get to the cruisin' place and he looks at me, and i just laugh. then the light turns green and he punches it. well, i didn't know he was gonna go, so then i punch it, after he's already got a jump on me. well, in to time at all, i come flying by him. we raced to about 60 and i killed him! he was sooo mad. mwahahaha!
anyways, i think it's just crazy how fast my civic is! i had no idea it would be this quick! i was thinkin' that it would MAYBE keep up w/ the itr, but aww naw, i definantly owned it!
cliff notes: i smoked my brother's ITR w/ my '88 civic hatch w/ b16

it's an early '88, so it's lighter than most hatches to start w/, plus it's gutted, no rear seats, no carpet, no headliner, no sound deadening. as for the engine, it's a b16, stock internals, stock type r intake, dc sports 4-1 header, and thermal R&D exhaust. that's it yo...

it's a dc 4-1 header made for the 99-00 civic Si and 94-97 delsol vtec. no, it's not the jdm. ground clearance is fine, just had to slightly bend the front crossmember for it to fit.

i think it's gutted as far as it can go. i would take out the side panels and all, but i think you have to have those to pass inspection, right?
my 89 dx was 1925lbs w/sir2 b16a no headliner, rear panels, rear carpet, sound deadening, f/r bumper supports and 15" wheels, with dc 4-1, a cai, and crimp bent 2.25" exhaust it ran a 14.1 @ 100, so ITR's are very possible victims
