im trying to hook up my clutch cable on my 88 hatch. i have a b16a in it and the cable is about a inch too short no matter what i do. any ideas?
what do you mean by to short? like it's in but the clutch will not engage or you can't get it in the mount? if you can get it in just unbolt the mount, put the cable in and bolt it back down.
you can modify your stock cable to work. I bought both clutch cables new from NAPA for an ls and a gsr and found out they were too short..instead I modified my stock si cable to work. What I did was cut down the rubber/plastic sleeve about an inch or so. just be careful NOT to cut the cable...next, just slide the adjuster over the sleeve, and use a small hose clamp so the adjuster doesent slip off the cable housing. Mine has been working great for about a year.. and i returned the 2 new cables I bought cuz they were cheapy kinda, stick with oem, wont let you down..
yup i am havnig the same problem i got one from autozone for a DA and it is made out of metal the cable is and well it is really stiff feel cause i put the bushin on top of the clutch lever to help it out and its just really stiff
