Divided Topmount ?
I have a quick question, Im looking for a t4 divided topmout, i saw the full race TM going for $1400, and i saw the Neukin TM going for $825 now that's a $575 difference. I have the money to buy either one, i just want to know what it is im getting from the full race that the Neukin doesn't provide ex gate location, runner length, divided top-mount design, flow rate etc... I had a Neukin ram horn before and the welded were great so im not looking for weld comparison, im looking for feed back like i gained ..... buy going switching to this manifold or i had fitment issues installing this manifold.

Yeah i figured that they have more overhead to make up, i was thinking if there was a performance gain with a that r&D that they put behind there product's. This might be a noob ? but i know there's more to designing a manifold then just welding tubing together. I was told buy a local tuner that not every body can make a divided top-mount correctly.
So this might be a ? for Geoff but what R&D is put into the manifolds that some of the not so popular/as large company don't put into there manifold.
ps this is not a post to be ..... vs ..... because I have products from both company's and there both topnotch.

Well yeah if they're made out of the same size tubing, why wouldn't they?
Ever think runner length and bends might play a role in which manifold performs better? Wastegate location? I'm not trying to bash anyone, but how many of the "Generic H-T Fab" brand manifold makers do any calculations before designing a manifold?

granted. tubing size, bends, wastegate location, runner length and all the **** will make a big difference. i think full-race puts the most R&D in their products more than any other company does. well not any lol. especially motor building guys. but i would be happy with just owning a top mount

yeah that's what i was thinking. Can some one elaborate on this.

the length of the runners is going to matter, the longer the better to a certain point. thats one reason that the top mounts have better spooltime and power givin to the car. The amount of bends will matter because the more bends the slower the exhaust gases will get to the turbo, thus making spool time and power go down a little bit. wastegate location will matter because, the more its in the center of the manifold itself the better it will keep you from boost creep or just overboosting period. very few shops like full-race do R&D on their products, and full-race's products do just what they are made for. make power. even they have a hefty price tag, they still own
hope that helps.

I call over there at Full=race today and talked to someone about their topmount manifold and I was not happy about their service. I felt like I was talking to a dead person, seems like he don't want to talk to me and to lazy to give me info on thier products.
Oh well, they just lost over $5K.

for the full-race ramhorn, looks like 3/4 are paired up and 1/2 are pair.. topmount looks like 3/2 1/4 are pair. but it also depends on the design. people gould do 2/4 are paired and 1/3 paired up.
