Default Got My Motor Running!!!

Well as I'm sure most of you know on here, I installed my JDM D15B motor and had some problems with getting it running. First off, my coil was bad. Then once I replaced that (had a buddy with a D15B7 sitting in his garage) I had spark. Then while cranking it my timing belt snapped in four pieces (really dryrotted and brittle). So I bought a VX timing belt and replaced it. Man does this thing sound sweet. I REALLY need a good exhaust. I have an Ebay header, Megan Racing test pipe, 2.5" exhaust to a turbo muffler. I bought a cheap muffler off of Ebay and the second day I had it the back of the muffler seperated from the canister and sent it flying. Now all I need to do is get some new fenders, get a new windshield, get some body work done, get it painted, and get it inspected (PA sucks dicks). Oh, and one more thing, my idle fluctuates sometimes by almost 500 RPM and I can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas shoot them to me. Thanks for the help everyone, I probably couldn't have done it without you all! Does anyone have any ideas for a good sounding, good looking, cheap exhaust? I'm getting married on the 21st and I'm broke as a joke, lol.

Boy, you had the same issues with your swap I did; although I changed the timing belt, water pump etc before dropping it in a few years ago. Coil was bad on mine too.

As for your idle issue, you may want to take your FITV (Fast Idle Thermal Valve) apart to make sure that it hasn't worked loose. It's located on the bottomside of the throttle body. Take a look at this thread about cleaning the FITV, EACV/IACV and throttle body as this will help your idle out.

How are you liking that Clutch and Flywheel combo? I was thinking of going with that flywheel next time I need to change out the clutch.
