oil in my dohc zc

Default oil in my dohc zc

hey people im new on this site but read everything i can and luv it anywayz i was driving home in my rex when all the sudden the engine killed and at first i thought my timing belt broke but when i took the spark plugs out on cylinder number 3 had oil in her...can anyone help me out please!!!i need her runnin as soon as i can cant live without driving her!!!!!!!

thats probally not why your car died. are u getting fuel and spark. having oil on one plug woulnt kill your car.

i really have no idea what happened i was going to change the timing belt and water pump but this happened......

the engine will turn but just backfire...i just want this engine to run im gettin a b16a soon

Actually it can. And if you PM CRXForum and ask him how I blew his valve cover grommets and killed his car at the track, then he will confirm it too.

Get a valve cover gasket set, with grommets, and it will fix your oil issue.

The back firing is normal. You should do plugs now too, and brake clean your wires to be safe. Oil will remove the spark from going to the spark plug.

It's a common issue with 17 year old honda motors.

see i knew u guys could help me big time!!!but is it worth keeping the dohc zc or the b16a? ive never felt vtec before so i dont know....

If you're happy with the DOHC ZC you can throw some boost at it instead of spending all the extra money on a B-swap. I've owned both and realized that the DOHC ZC was more cost-efficient to maintain and that VTEC was overrated IMO. Everybody has their own opinions, I guess it depends on what your budget and goals are.

i put a new valve cover gasket and grommets in and cleaned the plugs and nothing just as if now i have an eletrical problem it just clicks alot......oh and wiZco i may keep it but if i keep havin problems i will probly do a b-series swap
