Default Eagle rods

Does anyone know the difference between the eagle part # CRS5630H3D or CRS5630J3D. The J3D says for use with Type-S pistons, but I contacted a seller and they told me the H3D also supports a full floating wrist pin. So whats the difference?

Am glad you asked this, I also need to know this exact same question. Also, which one of the two do I need to use with Mahle Gold Series 11.5:1 pistons?

Eagle is taking forever to respond and none of the resellers know the difference. This question seems like it would be common and it would make sense to me that there would be more information on the matter. Let me ask this then, who here has ordered eagle rods for the 92-96 h22, and who here ordered the 97+ model?

was always under the impression that they were different for that reason.......it would make sense to have a pressed in pin and a floating pin design rods

The plot thickens, according to this website http://www.flatlander-ipp.co.u...shtml the H3D are for all aftermarket pistons, and the J3D for the '.864" piston pin, for use with "type S" pistons' . Surely other aftermarket pistons have a floating wristpin the same as the Type-S, but does the Type-S have a different size pin?

It seems that is the case, I found this exact question when I searched for Type-S pin size. I guess its all about those keywords. Anyways case closed, H3D for all aftermarket pistons .866" and Type-S uses .864 which makes absolutely no sense, but there it is.
