tint windows from ebay
has anyone tint their own windows themselves? I wanted to buy tinted windows film off from ebay and tint my window but i want to get some help and advice from yall first.
dont do it man my buddy bought something like that off ebay and it started to bubble and pell off about 2 months later and ended up going to a shop for a tint anyways.
Tinting is not something you'll get right on the first try. You're going to go through a lot of film before you develop enough skill to achieve decent results, and at that point you could simply have paid a professional to do it. If you're trying to learn how to tint, then by all means, order some film and supplies and start tinting everything you can until you begin to develop proficiency. However, if you only want your own car done, take it to someone with experience.
If you don’t got experience with tinting i would defiantly go to a shop b.c it could be a pain in the *** sometimes to take them off and re-do it plus most shop will give you about a year warranty on it

I bought the pre-cut tint off e-bay, and a kit. I had a buddy who did tinting on the side direct me through it. Turned out great except the cut was a little too big in one spot and there is a mishap in one of the windows. I'd buy it again for sure.
roll-o-tint, windex, squigie, scissors, razor blade, lots and lots of patience, oh and some towls to clean up the windex after you have squigied it all out from under the tint(the windex lets you move the tint to where you want it, then you squigie it out and get all the air bubbles out and then let it dry for a few days before you put your windows down. also don't do it in direct sunlight, if it gets too hot at first you'll develope air bubbles and it won't last as long.

Yeah, low-quality film is going to be worse than a low-quality installation. A low-quality installation you can re-do.
I tinted the driver's side window on my CRX myself because I had to replace the glass, and it didn't peel or bubble even after 18 months, but it faded to purple in about 6 weeks. Damn low-quality film.
Just go to a tint shop, they have the good film.

i was telling him use the wal-mart tint to practice not to keep it on. How do you think professionals get good they practice that how i got good. That like saying don't fix your own car take it to a professinal and let them over charge you when you can learn to fix it yourself and charge other people to fix their cars.
lol tint costs literally 5 bucks thats 195 profit for 20 min of work , i tinted my windows by myself, yes it has held for 3 years now
